Makerere University WFC came from two goals down to pick a hard fought point after a 2-all draw against Kawempe Muslim in a league game held on Wednesday.

Yudaya Nakayenze’s brace had put Kawempe Muslim ahead and they were on course for maximum points.

But late goals from Sharon Namatovu and Daphine Nalubowa ensure that Makerere University completed a come back.

Nakayenze gave Kawempe Muslim in the 35th minute tapping in home a well delivered corner from Samalie Nakacwa.

She later doubled her side’s lead in the 47th minute, capitalising on a defensive mistake from Makerere University.

But later in the dying minutes, Makerere University pulled one back through Namatovu in the 83rd minute before Nalubowa levelled matters at the death, scoring from a well taken free kick to silence all Kawempe’s faithful.

The draw was a big blow to Kawempe, who had taken a two goal lead.

The draw leaves them on top with 14 points but they are now just one point above second placed Kampala Queens.

For She Mak, they will feel proud for picking up a vital point away from home.. They now elevated to the fifth position with 7 points after six games so far this season.
