Innocent Ochera Joins Namuwongo Blazers

Guard Innocent Ochera has completed a switch to Namuwongo Blazers for the upcoming 2024 NBL season.

Ochera, previously with KIU Titans, brings his skills after averaging 7 points and 2 assists in the last season.

The seasoned player has a history with Ndejje Angels and Power.

His addition strengthens the Blazers’ roster, aligning with their recent signings of Michael Ngut, Daniel Gaaki, and Joseph Chuma.

Nam Blazers, led by coach Stephen Nyeko, are gearing up for a challenging season.

They will face KIU Titans in their opening match on January 26 at Lugogo. This matchup holds particular significance as it pits Ochera against his former team, promising an intriguing battle on the court.

Last season, the Blazers made headlines by pulling out of the playoffs after FUBA’s decision that the league winner would not secure a spot in the Basketball Africa League.

With renewed determination, Namuwongo Blazers are set to make a strong comeback in the 2024 NBL season, aiming for success under their gaffer Stephen Nyeko and revamped roster.
