Uganda Cup Round of 64: Matches Assigned Dates

The FUFA Competitions Department has confirmed dates for this season’s Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 fixtures.

The matches are to be played from Tuesday 23rd January 2024 to Wednesday 31st January 2023. Kick-off time for all games is 4:00 PM.

The Stanbic Uganda Cup is the second most prestigious competition in Uganda football after the Uganda Premier League.The winner of the Uganda Cup represents Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The annual competition is played on a knock-out basis, and is open for non-league sides and registered clubs playing in all five football divisions (Div I, II, III, IV and V) of the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).

It’s the 50th Edition of the now Stanbic Bank and Plascon-sponsored tournament,and Vipers SC are the defending champions.

The Uganda Cup was first held in 1971. Express FC and KCCA FC have won the cup most times (10), while SC Villa has won it 9 times.

Express will travel away to Bukedea to play MYDA FC at Kongunga P/S playground on Monday, 29th January, while KCCA will travel to Mbale to face Bugisu United (Admin FC) at Mbale Stadium on Wednesday, 24th January.

Holders Vipers SC (3-times winners of the competition) will visit Lugazi Stars FC at Mehta Stadium on Monday 29th January, while the other last season’s finalists Police will visit St. George FC at Masindi Stadium on Wednesday, 31st January.

BUL will travel away to play against Simba FC at Namulonge, Gayaza on Tuesday, 30th January, while Kitara and Maroons will also go to Luo Stadium, Pakwach and Ssaza Ground, Iganga to play Nebbi Central and Busei FC on Tuesday, 30th January and 25th January respectively.
