Rogers Mugisha Unveiled By AC Horsens in Denmark

Danish football club AC Horsens has officially unveiled Ugandan prodigy Rogers Mugisha.

The 20-year-old, previously part of Kenyan powerhouse Gor Mahia, has signed a contract with Horsens, binding him to the club until the summer of 2026.

Mugisha garnered attention on the international stage during the AFCON U20 tournament in Egypt last year, where he not only represented Uganda but also earned a spot in the tournament’s Best XI at the group stages.

The forward later made his senior debut for the Ugandan national team, the Cranes, in a match against Mali last year.

AC Horsens’ director, Kristian Nielsen, expressed optimism about Mugisha’s potential impact, emphasizing his speed, technical prowess, and unpredictable playing style.

Nielsen acknowledged the adaptation period ahead for the young talent in European football but assured the support of a well-established setup to facilitate Mugisha’s transition both on and off the pitch.

“We are bringing in a talented player who is fast, technically skilled and unpredictable with a wide range of feints and tricks, and there is no doubt about Mugisha’s qualities,” said Nielsen.

“We have a good setup there that can help him, and I have no doubt that he will flourish on the pitch once he has gone through an adaptation period.”

AC Horsens competes in the second tier of Danish Football.
