Former Uganda U17 and U20 defender Samson Kasozi has re-signed with UPDF FC after departing in June.
He commits to a one-year contract, coming back to the club he joined in 2021 from Bright Stars Junior Team.
Kasozi featured in twenty-four league matches, scoring one goal during his initial stint with UPDF FC.
Following a brief stint at Kitara FC under former coach Brian Ssenyondo, where he struggled for playing time.
Kasozi briefly considered joining Express FC during the ongoing transfer window. However, a successful negotiation between UPDF FC and the Red Eagles led to his release from the potential move.
Kasozi now marks UPDF FC’s fifth signing, joining goalkeeper Richard Anyama, defender Ronald Owiny Ogenga, Mubarak Nsubuga, and Musa Ssali.
Additionally, the Bombo-based side has added Paul Kiwanuka as Pius Ngabo’s first assistant coach.
UPDF FC’s upcoming challenge is a Stanbic Uganda Cup Round of 64 match against Pajule Lions.
