Soroti Cricket Academy U17 girls team’s tour of Rwanda hasn’t been a smooth ride for the youngsters.
The side opened the series with two convincing T20 games on Tuesday, but were whitewashed on Wednesday in the 40 Over game.
As they head into the final game of the series which currently reads 2-1 in their favour, they will be hoping to seal it and return to Uganda a victorious side.
They took a tour of the BK Arena and convention center on Thursday in their rest day, but they will be hoping to return to action a revitalized side.
Patricia Apolot and Sarah Tino, some of the SCA girls that have been heads and shoulder above the rest will be looking at guiding their side to victory.
On the opening day, Apolot put in a shift. Bowled just two Overs in a game that was reduced to 10 Overs due to bad weather, but one of those came out a maiden.
She also picked two wickets in the other Over which she let in only a solitary run.
Tino meanwhile owned game two. She came out with a return of 3 wickets at the same expense of six runs from three Overs.
Patricia Timong, Asumin Akurut among others will also be looking to snatch the headlines, but the aforementioned will be seeking to end the tournament with their opening form and ultimately guide their side to triumph.
In the spirit of promoting the game across the region and give his players a bit of exposure, Felix Musana, the chairman and founder of the academy thought it wise to partner with Rwanda.
It is fair to say that his girls have achieved this, but the ultimate goal would be clinching the Series.
