Uganda Cranes secured a 2-0 victory over Kuwait in an international friendly held in Cairo, Egypt on Friday.
Goals from Ronald Ssekiganda and Alex Kitata propelled Paul Put’s team to success.
The Cranes, comprised entirely of local players, lived up to expectations against the lower-ranked Asian side.
Ssekiganda, a Villa midfielder, opened the scoring in the 10th minute from close range after Kuwait failed to defend a corner.
Kitata, a BUL forward, sealed the win in the second half by heading in a rebound from Kenneth Ssemakula’s shot that had hit the woodwork.
