In a thrilling encounter at the Luo stadium in Nebbi, Kitara emerged victorious with a 2-1 win over Nebbi Central FC, securing their place in the round of 32 of the Uganda Cup.

The match kicked off with Nebbi Central creating several goal-scoring opportunities in the early stages, displaying their offensive prowess.

However, their lack of clinical finishing proved costly when Kabon Living of Kitara capitalized on a 39th-minute free-kick, stunning the hosts and putting his team in the lead.

As the game approached its climax, George Senkaaba further solidified Kitara’s dominance by doubling the lead with a remarkable half-volley, assisted by Denis Omedi, in the 75th minute.

Despite a late resurgence from Nebbi Central, who managed to pull one back in the 89th minute, Kitara held firm, displaying resilience and determination to secure the crucial victory.

The Royals’ defense stood strong in the face of intensified pressure from the hosts, ultimately denying Nebbi Central any further breakthroughs.

With this hard-fought triumph, Kitara advances to the round of 32 in the Uganda Cup, leaving their fans with a sense of excitement and anticipation for the challenges that lie ahead in the tournament.
