KCCA FC have confirmed attacking midfielder Peter Lwasa as their second signing on the last day of the January transfer window, after also unveiling goalkeeper Mutwalibi Mugolofa earlier on Tuesday.
Lwasa has signed a short-term contract with KCCA, keeping him at Lugogo until the end of the 2023–24 season, but with an option to renew.
The player will wear the shirt number 39 at KCCA, and is licensed to feature for the club in all competitions. He will be in action for KCCA on Friday, if selected for the Uganda Premier League (UPL) game against BUL.
Upon completion of his move to KCCA, the player was all grateful of the opportunity to don the yellow and blue of 13-times UPL Champions.
“I am happy for this opportunity to join KCCA FC,” the former For Mahia forward said after being unveiled at Lugogo.
“To be honest, when the club (KCCA) approached me I did not have to think twice about it. I want to contribute to the current project and that is why I am here.”
“I want to help the club achieve its objectives and I believe together with the rest of the group we can achieve something.”
Lwasa, who is also comfortable playing on the right and left flanks will be expected to bring in more firepower to KCCA’s attack.
Lwasa has also previously played for URA FC before going on to play for Kenyan sides Sofapaka FC, Kariobangi FC, Gor Mahia, and also D.R. Congo’s FC Lubumbashi Sport.
