Uganda Premier League side SC Villa have completed the signing of striker Reagan Mpande as their first January transfer signing.
Mpande, who joins from Arua Hill has signed a three years deal and he was officially unveiled on Wednesday evening.
Upon signing his new deal, the youngster expressed his delight for joining the record champions.
“It’s a good move for me. SC Villa is a club with exceptional coaches dedicated to player development. I’ve received a warm welcome, and I’m eagerly anticipating the action in the upcoming second round.”
The new developments come just a few hours after Mpande had bid farewell on Wednesday evening. Mpande is among the many players that have exited Arua Hill for greener pastures in this January transfer market.
At Villa, he is direct replacement of striker Ivan Bogere, who was let go by the club recently.
Before his move to Arua Hill in August 2022, Mpande was at then Ndejje University Football Club.
Besides Bogere, Villa let go of a couple of players including Rogers Kiwanuka, Ivan Sserubiri and Davis Ssekajja.
Villa will begin their second round of this season with a home game against Maroons FC on Thursday at Wankulukuku stadium.
