Bagoole, Seven Others Join Gaddafi

Uganda Premier League (UPL) side Gadaffi FC has recruited upto eight new players to boost their squad ahead of the second round of the 2023-24 season.

Midfielder David Bagoole is notably among the new faces at Gaddafi, joining in on loan from Vipers SC, as he still has more than a year running on his two-year contract with the UPL defending Champions.

Bagoole, who had first joined the Venoms in August 2020 before leaving in 2022 to join FUFA Big League side Jinja North United once again rejoined the Kitende-based side in August 2023.

The Soldier Boys also got the trio of Muna Kalule, Ivan Sserubiri and Hassan Musana from SC Villa, plus Bashir Asiku from Wakiso Giants.

They also signed Jackson Wabuleta from Blacks Power and Abubakar Kasimba from Arua Hill alongside (Busiro) Masaza Cup revelation Lawrence Kambugu.

The Soldier Boys are making efforts to overturn their first round’s misfortunes which saw them end up not so far away from the red zone.

Gaddafi occupy 13th position of 16 teams, with 16 points from 15 games – just a place and a point above relegation, as Busoga in 14th have 15 points.
