Preview: All Eyes on Wasswa Bbosa

Coach Wasswa Bbosa faces his former team, Express FC, drawing attention as Mbarara City encounters the Red Eagles.

Having led Express to a league title two seasons ago, Bbosa now navigates Mbarara, who finished the first round just two points above the relegation zone.

Despite concerns raised by a recent Uganda Cup upset, Bbosa’s main aim will now be to lead Mbarara City to league safety.

Recent improvements at Kakyeka Stadium prompted FUFA to overturn its hosting rights decision, and this us a huge boost for their struggle to avoid the drop.

Express, finished the first round strongly with four straight wins and hence Coach Alex Isabirye and Striker Isaac Wagoina were named the best UPL coach and player for December in that order.

Notably, midfielder Ramzy Kawooya’s retention in the January window is a highlight, amidst rumors of a potential move to Vipers as a free agent at the end of the season.

Express, bolstered by six new signings, including midfielder Yasser Mugerwa, remain confident that they can tackle a challenging title race.
