URA secured a 1-0 victory against Gaddafi FC for their first away win in the 2023/24 Uganda Premier League.

Norman Namanya’s first-half goal made the difference at the Gaddafi Arena, marking URA’s maiden win against Gaddafi FC in that venue.

Namanya tapped home from close range in the half-hour mark from a Laban Tibiita cross.

Although URA had chances to add to their tally, they couldn’t convert.

Tibiita hit the upright, and Bruno Bunyaga’s rebound was cleared off the line by Bashir Asiku.

Goalkeeper Andrew Ssekandi made a crucial save to deny Joseph Ssemujju.

Gaddafi FC, facing their fifth home defeat in nine matches, missed several opportunities in front of the goal.

Baker Buyala will regret the wasted chances, including a goalkeeper to beat. URA now sits 7th on the log with 24 points, while Gaddafi remains 13th with 16 points.
