Karim Ndugwa Moves to FUFA Big League

In a recent development, striker Karim Ndugwa has joined FUFA Big League side Booma, The-SportsNation can confirm.

The transfer was finalized just before the closure of the mid-season transfer window last week.

Ndugwa, a formidable lanky forward, had been without a club since departing from Vipers at the conclusion of the 2022/23 season.

Despite strong speculations linking him to a move to Express and a potential reunion with former coach Alex Isabirye, negotiations reached an impasse.

The prolific striker, who also contributed eight league goals while playing for BUL and Vipers last season, was part of the Venoms squad that secured the league and Cup double.

Ndugwa brings a wealth of experience having also featured for Wakiso Giants, Mbarara City, AFC Leopards in Kenya, Horseed in Ethiopia among others.

Booma has been active in the transfer market, securing other notable signings such as Pascal Irasa from Wakiso Giants, Ivan Kamoga, and Farouk Sekayi from NEC FC.

As the Big League’s second round kicks off on February 11, Booma, based in Masindi, finds themselves in fourth position with 24 points, trailing three points behind the promotion spots.

The team’s first-round performance comprised seven wins, three draws, and four losses.

While initially scheduled to face Ndejje University next Sunday, the recent dissolution of the opposing side has led Booma to recalibrate their focus on the upcoming match against Lugazi on the road during the next match-day.
