D-mark Power, eager for their first win of the season, will face off against UCU Canons this Friday at Lugogo.

In their previous match against City Oilers, Power faltered with a disappointing 73-38 loss, appearing outmatched throughout the game.

They struggled notably in the second and fourth quarters, managing just 4 and 6 points respectively.

Samad Imran stood out with 18 points, the sole player reaching double digits for Power.

Though UCU Canons present a different challenge from City Oilers, Power must significantly elevate their performance to secure victory.

While new addition Philip Ameny showcased promise with 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 8 assists, Christopher Adoghe’s 0-for-5 shooting performance left a lot to be desired.

Meanwhile, the Canons have already contested two matches, securing a 69-58 win against Kampala Rockets before succumbing to a 52-83 defeat against KIU Titans.

The potential return of point guard Jimmy Otim adds intrigue, though his availability remains uncertain.

Coach Nicholas Natuhereza will rely on standout players like Jerry Kayanga and Peter Sifuma to steer the team towards a favorable outcome.
