Express FC: Nsubuga Credits Win Against Ndejje To Team Work

Tuesday, February 26
Ndejje University 0-1 Express FC

Striker Mubarak Nsubuga scored the only goal of the game as Express FC picked an away victory against Ndejje University in a league game played on Tuesday.

The youngster has said that the win at the Arena of Visions was down to team work.

“It was a tough game whereby both sides needed the points but we needed them more we have been working together as a team because we believe in one thing, we can do it,” Nsubuga told the club website.

“Everyone was committed we worked as a team until we got those three points we really needed.”

This was Nsubuga’s third goal of the season, and it comes as a reward to Coach George Ssemwogerere who has showed him support ahead of other strikers like Brian Umony and Tony Odur, in the starting team.

On Coach Ssemwogerere playing him as a centre forward, he revealed:

“I’m comfortable with it because he first talks to me and tells me so when I go on the pitch I don’t want to let him down.

“I work hard to see that wherever he tells me to play I give 100% because I’m a football player everywhere the coach tell you to play you just give 100% if the coach trusts you, you give him what he is looking for in you.”

This was Express’ 7th win of the season, and the club has drawn and lost as many games after Match-day 21. Express FC sit 8th with 28 points.

Next for the Red Eagles is a tough shot trip to Kitende to face rivals SC Vipers on Friday.
