Proline FC are on the verge of earning promotion after an emphatic win over sorry Bumate in a StarTimes FUFA Big League game played on Wednesday.

Shafic Bisaso’s outfits switched on the beast mode to roast Bumate 9-0 at Lugogo to go four points clear at the top with just three games to go.

Ivan Bogere led the rout, scoring four goals, including a penalty after Joshua Okiror was fouled in the area. Hakim Kiwanuka grabbed a brace while Ibrahim Bonyo, Bright Anukani and Sam Kintu scored one each.

League top-scorer Bogere took his tally to 13 goals, with teammate Anukani and JMC Hippos’ Ibrahim Nsimbe joint second with nine goals.

“We just have to thank God for this nine goal haul,” noted Coach Bisaso shortly after the rout. “Its not an easy achievement but it is what I told my players on what we should do with our remaining games.”

“This game has given us extra motivation, this was a game which we had to win because of the positions on the table but it did come with pressure.

“We have to work hard, we don’t have to play with pressure in our remaining games. It is hard but we must be in the League, it has been a dream but now it’s slowly turning into reality.”

On his main striker Bogere, Bisaso commended the boy’s input in helping Proline lighten their promotion chances and called on him and other players to maintain their form.

Bisaso added: “We may have beaten a poor opponent, but the fact will remain that we have the ability to put the ball at the back of the net.”

The top team in the pool automatically earns a ticket to StarTimes Uganda Premier League while the second and third fight in playoffs.
