Bright Stars Reportedly Part Ways With Coach Kajoba

Uganda Premier League outfits Bright Stars have parted ways with head coach Fred Kajoba, a source has hinted to this website.

The development come just days after news came out revealing that Kajoba’s contract was days away from expiring.

The club is expected to name a new coach in few days, with odds pointing to former Kirinya Jinja SS coach Charles Ayiekho.

Kajoba who was the Uganda Cranes goalkeeping coach, joined Bright Stars in 2014 from Army team Simba SC, replacing Paul Kiwanuka.

Bright Stars were founded in 1997. They were promoted to the Uganda Super League after winning the FUFA Big League in 2012/13.

Last season, Bright Stars finished eighth with 41 points despite having a good start to the season. The position didn’t get well with the top bosses who believe that the can do better.

The club also lost the Uganda Cup finals to Proline FC via shootouts held in Masaka Recreation.

Sources have it that there is more pressure to deliver since Honda Estilo bought shares in September 2017.
