Busoga United Signs Former Express FC Defender

Busoga United has signed Shafic Nana Kaketo, the-SportsNation.com sources have learnt.

The former Kirinya Jinja SS team have acquired Nana as a free agent after the player was released by Express FC at the end of last season.

Busoga beats Kyetume FC to Nana’s signature. The Mukono based team also was in pursue of the defender’s services before the deal fell through.

Nana is a versatile player who can play both in defence and midfield. What he lacks in physique, pays it up for his game reading and intelligence.

He is expected to lift Busoga United who lost David Bagoole to URA FC, to occupy upper places of the UPL log.

Busoga who confirmed Abbey Kikomeko as their coach, finished ninth with 41 points last season.

The Jinja based side who will host games at FUFA Njeru Technical centre, will open their league campaign with Tooro United on Saturday, August 3 at Wankulukuku before facing KCCA FC and Bright Stars.
