Patrick Kaddu Leaves RS Berkane For Egyptian Club Ismaily

Ugandan Striker Patrick Kaddu has left Moroccan club RS Berkane for Egyptian side Ismaily SC after a period of five months in Morocco. it is official.

He joins the Egyptian side on a loan deal until the end of the season and he will be flying to Egypt in the next days to seal the deal.

“The Ismaili Board of Directors headed by Engineer Ibrahim Othman to meet the needs of the technical staff led by the French Didier Gomez and in order to increase the offensive effectiveness of the team and seek competition for titles, Ismaili officials completed the signing of Ugandan international striker, Patrick Kaddu coming from the Moroccan league hours before the end of Winter window,” reads a statement posted on Ismaily SC website.

“The technical director expressed a strong desire to include the player in the team’s ranks after a careful follow-up of his distinguished level and technical capabilities.”

Kaddu who left KCCA FC for Berkane in August 2019, has failed to impress at the Moroccan club and he was at the end of fans criticism as he failed to find the back of the net in featured games.

He has played only seven league games and was unused substitute against Reinnesance recently as Berkane lost 5-0.

The striker joins Ismaily who are seventh on the log with 21 points after 15 league games.

Kaddu scored the goal that took Uganda Cranes to 2019 AFCON on November 17 2018 in a 1-0 against Cape Verde. He also scored Cranes’ first goal at the tourney, in a 2-0 win against DR Congo.

The striker won UPL and Uganda Cup in 2018, joined KCCA FC in 2017 after spells with Maroons FC and Kiira Young.

Kaddu joins a list of Ugandan players to have signed with Egyptian clubs that include Allan Kyambadde (El Gouna, Egypt), Emmanuel Okwi (Ittihad), Abdul Lumala (Pyramids), Khalid Aucho (Misr Mikassa) and Taddeo Lwanga (Tanta SC).
