Uganda Cup: Ssenyondo Seeks To Extend Impressive Run At Kakyeka

Brian Ssenyondo will ne targeting to extend his impressive record as Mbarara City host Faith, Hope and Love (FHL) in Uganda cup at Kakyeka.

After the 1-0 win against Police FC, courtesy of a late strike from substitute Brian Aheebwa, Ssenyondo became the first Mbarara City manager to win four straight games at Kakyeka.

He had beaten Onduparaka FC, Kyetume and KCCA FC in the first round before the side moved host in Bombo.

The Ankole Lions beat Kakiri FC 2-1 at the round of 64, the club’s first way win in Uganda Cup.

The visitors, regional league side FHL FC, shocked Big league team Ndejje University with a 4-1 win in shootouts in Moyo.

Mbarara will be eyeing to reach the round of 16 for the first after earlier exits in hands of Kansai Plascon (2018) and BUL FC (2019).

Ibrahim Orit. ivan Eyam, Makueth Wol, Bebe Swalik, Solomon Okwalinga and Aheebwa are expected to search for goals for the hosts who might ring changes in their usual starting lineup.

Mohammad Ssekeba is expected to start in goal ahead of Tom Ikara while Raymond Onyai, Ibrahim Magandaazi, Steven Kabuye and Zaid Byekwaso might also play a role.
