Uganda Cranes Players Join “Blackout Tuesday” Movement

Uganda Cranes players joined other athletes around the world to take a blackout on social media on Tuesday.

The players shared their grievances while posting blank boxes on their twitter handles.

This is in response to the passing of George Floyd, an African American, who was suffocated to death by a heartless Police Officer.

Emmanuel Okwi, Nelson Ssenkatuka, Elvis Bwomono, Uche Ukechukwu Mubiru among others joined the movement to mark solidarity with protests against the brutality.

Blackout Tuesday, was started by the music industry to protest Floyd’s death in police custody, has spread across spheres.

United States is currently suffering with the aftermath of Floyd’s death with people taking to the street to reveal their discontent.
