CAF Confirms Teams For Champions League, Confederation Cup

Confederation of African Football, CAF, has confirmed a list of teams that will represent their respective nations in the upcoming 2020/21 Inter club competitions.

Uganda, as earlier known, will be represented by Vipers and KCCA FC in Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.

The 2019/20 Uganda Premier League was ended prematurely due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Vipers, top of the table at the time after 25 games, were declared champions, hence earning a continental ticket.

With the Uganda Cup at round of 16, the tournament was declared null and void. However, in an infamous decision, KCCA FC were chosen as Confederation Cup representatives despite Uganda Cup rules pointing at former winner Proline FC.
