Express FC forward Frank Kalanda expects a tough opponent in Kitara when both teams meet on Tuesday, March 02.
The two sides will clash on match-day 11 of the Uganda Premier League at Kavumba Recreation Grounds in Wakiso.
Kalanda who top scored for Express last season said it will not be an easy encounter but they have to keep on winning to keep their winning spirit going.
“Away to Kitara will not an easy contest. Kalanda stated during the pre-match press conference on Monday.
“Anyone you compete with in the league is also focused and will play for all three points.
“We are well prepared and have to keep that winning spirit going. We have to keep that spirit going on so that we can compete for the trophy.”
The only previous meeting between the two sides saw Kitara eliminate Uganda from the 2018 Uganda Cup courtesy of a 2-0 win.
Despite the loss previously, Kalanda who is struggling for game time this season, is confident Express will get the job done.
“Kitara hasn’t been an easy team for us especially in the Uganda Cup.
“However, i have to promise the fans is we are well prepared to make that right with victory on Tuesday.”
Express FC are second on the Uganda Premier League table with 22 points from 11 games.
