JKL Dolphins eased past Betway Power in a National Basketball League encounter at KIU Court in Kansanga.

The loss compounds Power misery havinh suffered three losses from as many games. They lost to KIU Titans and Ndejje Angels on the opening weekend.

JKL, coming into the game on the back of a 74-60 loss to UPDF Tomahawks last Sunday, led the first quarter 15-11 and never looked back as they got off the mark.

New signing Christian Milambu (15 points and 16 rebounds) and Libe Makala (11 points and 17 rebounds) scored a double double each while Innocent Ochera and Joseph Wacha added 13 and 10 points respectively.

Salim Kisilu (14) was the only Power player to garner double point figures on a day the side shot 21-of-70 from the field and made 19 turnovers.

Stephen Wundi and Isaac Afidra both managed eight points each for the five time champions but their efforts were not enough as Power’s search for first win goes to another matchday.

Power will seek to make amends when they face City Oilers on May 2.

The Oilers beat Falcons 61-45 to record their second win from three games. The defending champions lost to Nam Blazers last week but beat Ndejje Angels on Saturday for their first win.

Against Falcons, Jimmy Enabu and Ruai Luak scored 11 points each in the winning effort while Arthur Wanyoto’s 12 points were in vain.

The last game between KIU Titans and Ndejje Angels was not played after rain interrupted tip-off time for the games.
