FUBA To Meet Over Fate Of 2021 Season

The Executive Committee of FUBA, NBL and Lower League managers are meeting on Thursday to brainstorm on when and how the 2021 season can resume.

The meeting will be held via Zoom, a source has confirmed to The-SportsNation.

The season was suspended by National Council of Sports on June 3 this year.

The directive was issued with just one weekend to end the Regular season of the National Basketball League then.

The Lower Divisions were about three weekends away to completion.

With the upcoming National Men’s team engagements (Afrobasket) later this month, FUBA faces a big challenge to fix dates for the top flight.

Some officials have asked for the league to be declared null and avoid. However, FUBA may also decide to declare top teams in both Men and Women divisions as champions.
