Solomon Okwalinga scored the only goal as Mbarara City stunned SC Villa in a league game at Kakyeka.
Okwalinga was tripped outside the box by defender Gavin Kizito, before whipping in his effort past Meddie Kibirige in the fourth minute.
Its Okwalinga’s second goal this season having begged the opener against Bright Stars on match-day One.
Kibirige denied Henry Kitengenyi minutes into the second half while Hilary Mukundane’s freekick was just inches off the target.
The victory ends Mbarara City’s four-game winless streak and it lifts the club to ninth with 10 points.
It’s the third loss for SC Villa after six games, and the club is seated two points above the red zone.
