Stanbic Uganda Cup: Drama As Bundimasoli Fail to Turn Up against BUL

Bundimasoli United FC have failed to turn up for their round of 64 clash against BUL FC.

The two sides were set to meet for the first time at the round of 64 as the 48th edition of the Stanbic Uganda Cup got underway on Tuesday.

However, Bul FC who had travelled to Bundibugyo for the game found no activity at the Christ the King grounds as they were told by the gate man that no official game was communicated to him.

“BUL FC players and officials are stranded outside Christ the King Stadium. The host team (Bundimasoli) didn’t turn up for the game. The gate man claims that no game was communicated to him and no preparations on field was made,” reads a statement on Bul FC Facebook account.

Furthermore, the referees for the said contest were also stranded outside the gates of the stadium, per reports by the visitors.

And with no signs of the home team arriving, BUL FC team left the venue and headed back home.

With the new developments, the FUFA Competitions department is expected to take action and rulings about the matter.

Efforts to reach an official from Bundimasoli have been fruitless.
